Camera, scans and nearby discovery
The Future Lens app uses the camera for QR recognition, spatial capture and AR localization. Captures you upload, their spatial metadata and associated content are processed by the services supporting the experience, including MultiSet and our hosting providers. Device-only drafts remain on the device until you explicitly upload or otherwise share them.
In builds with Nearby experiences, discovery is optional and runs while the app is open. After you enable it and grant location permission, the app sends a geographic search area to the Future Lens hosting backend to find public hosted spaces near you. The discovery feature does not write a location-history record. Hosting services may process request logs. You can turn discovery off in the app and change location permission in device settings. Scan a code remains available without nearby discovery.

data we collect
We collect information you provide (account details, profile, project and content data), usage data (how you use the platform), device and log data (IP, browser, timestamps), and cookies where you have consented. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
legal basis
We process your data where necessary to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement), and, where required, with your consent (e.g. non-essential cookies and marketing).
retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active. Audit logs are retained for a limited period for security and compliance. After account deletion, we remove or anonymize your data in line with our data retention policy, except where we must keep it for legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
